What:  All Rise Century Ride Fundraiser

Where:  Batesville Department of Human Services Office, Highway 69 East, 2 miles past Wal-Mart

What Else:  The purpose is to increase interest in cycling and raise money for the Independence County DWI Court Program.  This is for riders of all skill levels and winds through the rolling hills of North Arkansas where they meet the delta.  The ride is out and back so riders may choose any distance of 1-100 miles.  There is very little flat on most of the ride, but there are no major climbs.  Registration fee includes t-shirt, drinks and refreshments.  All riders who raise $250 or more will receive a special award.  Helmets are required for all riders.  Riders under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.  This is a supported ride – sag wagon will be available.  The cost is $20 for adults and $10 for under 18.  There will be a minimum of 4 rest stops with drinks and refreshments provided.  For more information, contact Lee Huff at 870-793-8897.

What:  All Rise Century Ride Fundraiser

What Else:  The purpose is to increase interest in cycling and raise money for the Independence County DWI Court Program.  This is for riders of all skill levels and winds through the rolling hills of North Arkansas where they meet the delta.  The ride is out and back so riders may choose any distance of 1-100 miles.  There is very little flat on most of the ride, but there are no major climbs.  Registration fee includes t-shirt, drinks and refreshments.  All riders who raise $250 or more will receive a special award.  Helmets are required for all riders.  Riders under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.  This is a supported ride – sag wagon will be available.  The cost is $20 for adults and $10 for under 18.  There will be a minimum of 4 rest stops with drinks and refreshments provided.  For more information, contact Lee Huff at 870-793-8897.

What:  2013 Crisis Intervention Program

When:  March 1st through September 30th or until funds are depleted, whichever occurs first

What Else:  For applicants to be considered in a crisis situation, they are required to have received a shut off notice from their energy supplier with a shut-off notice date to be within 7 days from the date of application or a statement from the gas supplier stating the household’s tank is at or below 10 percent of tank capacity with a written statement of the cost of a minimum delivery of gas.  Following are the requirements needed before the applications can be taken or processed:  1. Proof of income for all household members for the previous month, including verification of any contributions from family and friends.  Applications stating income is zero must provide written statement verifying how they pay their bills.  2. Information on the date and place of current or last employment for all household members.  Any member 18 or older without a job must provide verification of unemployment.  3. Proof of child support being received.  4. Proof of utility assistance if applicant receives subsidized housing.  5.
