What Else:  To schedule a donation or for more information, call 1-800-RED-CROSS or visit redcrossblood.org.  All blood types are needed.  A blood donor card or drivers license or 2 other forms of identification are required.  Individuals who are 17 years of age, weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood.  High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.

What Else:  March for Babies is the March of Dimes largest fundraiser.  The 2013 goal is to raise $45,000.

 

What:  Cemetery Cleaning

Where:  Sulphur Rock Cemetery

What:  2nd Annual Yard Sale Fundraiser

Where:  Old AutoSmart Used Car Lot on the south side of Cave City on Hwy. 167

What Else:  Join a park interpreter for a slow, easy walk on the Blooms and Butterflies trail to see some of the birds that live in the park.  Please bring along binoculars and bird guides if you have any, but they are not necessary. 

 

What:  Summer Wildlife Display

When:  Thursday, May 2nd through Sunday, May 5th, 1-3pm

Where:  Lake Charles State Park, 3705 Hwy. 25, Powhatan

What Else:  Come down to the nature center and see the wildlife on display for the summer.  A park interpreter will be on hand to answer any questions.
