What:  Free Squire Parsons Concert

When:  Friday, November 2nd, 7pm

Where:  Tumbling Shoals Baptist Church, 2 miles north of Greers Ferry Dam, 2250 Heber Springs Road

What Else:  Squire is a Southern Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame member, one of America’s best loved soloists and a prolific songwriter.  A love offering will be taken.  For more information, call 501-362-3987.


What:  Book Sale

When:  Saturday, November 3rd, 9:30am-1pm

Where:  Stone County Library Conference Room, Mountain View

What Else:  There will be a good assortment of magazines and books to choose from, including fiction, non-fiction, self-help, paperback, children’s books, crafts, history, etc.  The selection is good and the prices are low.  All proceeds go to support the library.


What:  Southside FFA Benefit Rodeo

When:  Friday, November 2nd, 7pm and Saturday, November 3rd, 4pm

Where:  Pleasant Plains Arena

What:  28th Annual Holiday Craft Fair

When:  Friday, November 2nd, 10am-6pm and Saturday, November 3rd, 9am-4pm

Where:  Commercial Building, Independence County Fairgrounds, Batesville

What:  2nd Annual Holiday Extravaganza

When:  Friday, November 2nd, 12noon-6pm and Saturday, November 3rd, 9am-3pm

Where:  Hickingbotham-Miller Exhibit Building, Fulton County Fairgrounds, Salem

What Else:  Free admission.  Zeta Omicron Chapter or Beta Sigma Phi will have a Homemade Soup Concession during the event.  All funds raised will be used for a Modern Woodmen of American Matching Funds Project for a kitchen at the Fulton County Fair Theater Building.  The building was recently remodeled and is used by the community for a number of events including weddings, family reunions, parties, etc. 


What:  Doc, Connie and Rusty Appearance

When:  Saturday, November 3rd, 5pm

Where:  Sharp United Methodist Church, Gainsboro Road

What Else:  Admission is free.  Potluck supper provided.  All proceeds benefit Friendship Outreach, Inc. and Women’s Addictions Resistance Project 180 Reclamation and Restoration for Women in Recovery.  For more information, call 870-613-2825.


What:  Duck Day

When:  Saturday, November 3rd

Where:  Bald Knob Downtown Courtyard

What Else:  There will be a chili/gumbo cookoff, bluegrass music, a duck calling contest, craft vendors and school club vendors.  Music will feature the Cobb Brothers from Mountain View.


What:  Kirkin’ o’ the Tartans Service

When:  Sunday, November 4th, 11am

Where:  Brown Chapel, Lyon College, Batesville

What:  Medicare Open Enrollment Event

When:  Tuesday, November 6th, 9am-12noon

Where:  White River Medical Center, Conference Room B

What:  9th Annual Deer Hunters Breakfast and Lunch

When:  Saturday, November 10th, 5am-2pm

Where:  Pleasant Grove Community Center, 27949 Highway 14 East

When:  Bags hung on doors November 8th and 9th, Bags picked up November 17th, 9am-4pm
