What:  My Choice Clinic’s First Annual Art Auction

When:  Friday, February 1st, 6:30pm

Where:  Landers Theater, 332 East Main Street, Batesville

What Else:  Attendees will have the opportunity to bid on art from local and regional artists.  Hors d’oeuvres will be served and preferred attire is cocktail attire.  A limited number of tickets are available and the cost $25.  Tickets are being sold at Carlee’s Hallmark, Heritage House and My Choice Clinic.  All proceeds go directly to fund My Choice Clinic’s free services.  For more information, contact the clinic at 870-613-7860.

 

What:  Souper Bowl Saturday Fundraiser

When:  Saturday, February 2nd, 10am-1pm

Where:  St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, corner of Main and 5th, Batesville

What Else:  Tickets are $7 in advance for a quart and $8 at the event.  Advance tickets give you the privilege of first choice during VIP hour from 9-10am.  Tickets are on sale now at BAAC Art Gallery  on Main, Liberty Bank, Carlee’s Hallmark, Citizens Bank and Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce.  Proceeds will go to the Batesville Area Arts Council.

When:  Saturday, February 2nd, 9:30am-1pm

Where:  Stone County Library Conference Room

What Else:  Biographies, history, self-help, romance, children’s books and magazines, tapes, cds, craft books, a lot of other subjects.  The books are displayed and prices are reasonable.

 

What:  Mega Force Steve Carrier Appearance

When:  Wednesday through Sunday, Jan. 30th through February 3rd,  7pm; also Sunday 10:15am

Where:  Jubilee Family Church, 45 Thurderbird Drive, Batesville

What:  ‘Let’s Talk Memory Loss’ Program

When:  Tuesday, February 5th, 10:45am

Where:  Independence County Senior Citizens Center, 1590 East College, Batesville

What Else:  Normal aging may cause some forgetfulness.  It’s normal to have some trouble learning new material, or needing more time to remember it.  However, normal aging does NOT lead to dramatic memory loss.  The program will look at causes and treatment for memory loss and when you should be concerned.  To register or for more information, call 870-207-7595 or 1-800-745-0557.
