What: Open Fall Enrollment for HIPPY (Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters)
What Else: Enroll now for HIPPY. HIPPY is a free, at-home education program for children aged 2 (if the child will be 3 by Dec. 31st), 3, 4 and 5 (if the child turns 5 after Aug. 1st). Parents are provided free educational materials, books and supplies to work with their child at home to help lay the foundation for kindergarten. This will be for ELECTRIC ONLY. The following are requirements needed before applications can be taken and processed: 1. Proof of income for all household members for the previous month, including verification of any contributions from family and friends. Applications stating income is zero must provide written statement verifying how they pay their bills. 2. Information on the date and place of current or last employment for all household members. Any member 18 or older without a job must provide verification of unemployment. 3. Proof of child support being received. 4. Proof of utility assistance if applicant received subsidized housing. 5. A copy of an energy bill or receipt from energy supplier.
