What: The White River Planning and Development District, Inc., currently sponsors a Child Care Food Program as a means to provide nutritious meals to children enrolled in licensed or registered family child care homes. The Child Care Food Program, funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is administered through the Arkansas Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Early Childhood Education. The program reimburses family child care providers for meals and snacks served to children when daily requirements are met.
