What:  1st Ever Melon Dash 5K Walk/Run

When:  Saturday, August 10th, 7pm

Where:  Cave City Community Center

What Else:  All proceeds will go toward the purchase of school supplies for area students in need.  Registration forms are available at the Bank of Cave City.

 

What:  ICYAA Registration for Fall Baseball Season

When:  Saturday, August 10th, 9am-1pm

Where:  George Ryder room, First Community Bank, corner of St. Louis and Harrison, Batesville

What Else:  Boys age 4 to 12 years of age are able to participate.  $40 registration fee per child.  If you would like to volunteer (coach) with ICYAA or for more information, contact Grady McMahan at 870-307-9042.

What:  The Southside School District HIPPY Program is now enrolling 3 and 4 year old children.  For more information about this free home-based preschool program, call the Southside Parent Center at 870-251-4024.

 

What:  The Independence County Library is once again offering FREE computer instruction classes for adults of all ages.  Learn everything from using the mouse to setting up an email account.  Classes will fill up quickly.  Participants must register by calling the library at 870-793-8814. 

 

What:  ‘Kickin for a Cure 2013’ Kickball Tournament Fundraiser

When:  Saturday, August 17th

Where:  North Complex, Batesville

What Else:  $125 per co-ed team.  3 game guarantee.  Must have 5 women on the team.  Prizes for best team costumes and theme.  A portion of the proceeds will go to the Independence County Relay for Lift.  For more information, contact Randy Alan at bigdaddy@cr93.com.

 

What:  ICARE Dog Wash and Dip and Veterinary Clinic
