Callie Jane

Hey ya’ll! My name is Callie Jane… My Momma went in to labor with me while fishing in a boat. My Grandma jumped out of the boat pulled it to shore. This may explain why I love to fish. I was born in June…born & raised an Arkansas Girl. I am 31 years old!

My hobbies are cooking, yard work/farm girl work, fishing, hunting, riding my mustang (War Maiden), loving on all animals, building things with my hands, camping, oil painting, having fun with my kiddo’s ( I have 2 of them), charity work, and writing songs and poems.

If I could choose my own name, I’d stick with Callie Jane. I love my name and it fits me perfect!

A few things on my bucket list: Skydive, white water raft, and ride my horse off a cliff into a large mass of water.

Would I pick money or true love? I’d pick true love of course without a doubt. Money doesn't buy happiness forever, but a dynamic duo can build an empire together and secure the millions!

My job before WRD Entertainment: I worked at 103.7 The Buzz and 94.1 The Point in Little Rock. I moved away for four years because I thought I wanted the city life and boy was I wrong. I loved my job but that was the only thing. I couldn't stand the commute and knew I had to get back to my roots….so here I am back in my hometown and I don’t ever plan on leaving again. I am glad to be part of the WRD Entertainment family and plan on staying as long as they will have me. I owe my writing skills, radio/newspaper interest to my English teacher Kay Carlton at Cushman High School.

Color: any shade of blue….I love blue eyes, blue skies, and water

Movie: Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken, The Notebook, Shaw shank Redemption, Green Mile, Westerns, mostly sappy family movies and occasionally a thriller.

Vehicle: A big truck or Jeep

Pizza: Pepperoni & Jalapeno

Thing to cook: There are so many things I love to cook, but I really like to show off my Chicken Enchilada. Also, a good ol’ fashion home cooked meal with lots of garlic.

Vacation Spot: Anywhere with water, mainly Mexico. Would love to go to Montana and ride my mustang.

Holiday: Christmas because it’s Jesus’ birthday and then we can start a new year. I like Valentine’s Day too because it has to do with Love.

Reindeer: Rudolph because he was the underdog and rose above them all!

Cookie: no bake oatmeal chocolate

Dessert: Crème Brule & key lime pie

Ice Cream: Pralines and Cream

Store to shop at: Not much of a shopper but when I do go…. I love Western Trails & GW Fashions aka Good Will

Way to spend my day: In the summer time I love to have coffee and breakfast on the porch super early and naked! Then get the kiddos up and pack a picnic and trail ride through the woods and creeks.

Bath or shower: Shower, I don’t like to wash in my own filth

Instrument: I wish I would have learned the piano, but I didn't and so I made my daughter do it. She’s not only great at it but she loves it!

Weirdest food I've ever tried: Tricked into eating a pigs tongue but couldn't because it was too tuff to bite into and raw oysters and spiced eggnog.

Have you ever been banned from somewhere? Yes, hunting in the state of Mississippi. Went to jail for killing a deer illegally and missed my Great Grandmother’s funeral because of it.

Most childish thing about me: I still send out Valentine’s to everyone and I love Sponge Bob

I believe in: Constructive Criticism
I thought I’d never tell anyone, but…: I’m still not telling

Guilty Pleasure: Bourbon and coke and cigars

Quirky habit: I have to smell everything, I say “yo” after most everything I say, and every time I go over the Mississippi River I have to yell PIG SOOIE.

Can’t live without: My kiddos, lots of lovin’s, and music

Turn on: Manners, passion, and work ethic

Turn off’s: No common sense, lack of ambition, and hatefulness

Something people make fun of me for: I have no filter…I will say anything! Clipping coupons!

Goal in life: To have a home full of love that is self sufficient, built with my two hands, grow all my own food, and never leave the Ranch. While at the same time raising my children to have respect, survival skills, and good work ethic!
